University of Anbar Holds Awareness Workshop on Ensuring Women's Rights in the Workplace
The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Applied Sciences – Hit, organized an awareness workshop titled “Legal and Administrative Amendments Aimed at Ensuring Women's Rights in the Workplace.”
The workshop highlighted key legal and administrative reforms related to banning gender-based discrimination, combating harassment and violence in the workplace, and protecting women working across various sectors. It also addressed programs dedicated to preparing women for leadership roles and promoting institutional empowerment.
The workshop aimed to raise legal awareness among working women, enhance their understanding of the laws and policies that guarantee their rights, and contribute to creating a safe and equitable work environment.
This event comes as part of the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security – Pillar of Participation and Institutional Reform, Clause Four, which seeks to achieve justice and equal opportunities within institutions
