University of Anbar Organizes an Online Workshop Titled: "Encouraging Women's Participation in Parliamentary and Local Elections"
The College of Basic Education in Haditha, University of Anbar, organized an awareness-raising online workshop titled "Encouraging Women's Participation in Parliamentary and Local Elections."
The workshop highlighted the importance of women's political participation, both as voters and candidates, by reviewing the constitutional and legal frameworks and discussing the main societal challenges hindering their presence in the electoral scene.
The workshop concluded with a number of recommendations, most notably: supporting electoral education for women, encouraging their representation in electoral lists, and activating the role of media in highlighting successful stories of women in politics
