University of Anbar Organizes Online Workshop on Empowering Women in Decision-Making Positions
The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Arts, University of Anbar, organized an awareness-raising online workshop titled: “Women and Decision-Making: Towards Effective Political Participation.”
The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of empowering women in decision-making positions and shed light on the social and cultural challenges that hinder their access to political and administrative influence. It also addressed the legal and constitutional frameworks that support women’s participation.
The event featured inspiring case studies of pioneering women in the political field both locally and internationally, along with active discussions on ways to enhance women’s presence in leadership positions.
This workshop comes as part of broader efforts to raise community awareness about the role of women and empower them within national policies.
