The Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Administration and Economics, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Computer and Information Technology, organized an awareness seminar titled "The Role of Parents in Protecting Children from Technological Risks through the Use of Parental Control Applications." This event was part of a series of awareness activities aimed at enhancing the family’s role in child protection, in alignment with the first pillar of institutional reform under the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security.
The seminar highlighted the most significant risks children may face due to unsafe use of technology. It also provided an overview of the most commonly used parental control applications, along with practical guidance to help parents monitor their children's digital activities in an effective and balanced manner.
The seminar was attended by a number of faculty members and students, and it featured active discussions on the importance of balancing protection and trust. Participants emphasized the need for parents to stay updated with technological advancements to ensure a safe and stable digital environment for children.
