The College of Applied Sciences - Hit Organizes a Scientific Seminar on Climate Change and Its Environmental Impacts

The Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Applied Sciences - Hit, in collaboration with the Desert Studies Center, organized a notable seminar on climate change, its environmental impacts, and the role of sustainable development on Tuesday, November 19, 2024.

The lecture was delivered by Assistant Professor Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed Gharibi, covering a range of important topics related to climate change, its causes, and its global impacts. The seminar particularly focused on Iraq's water crisis, discussing the underlying reasons for this issue and strategies for addressing it. Additionally, the concept of sustainable development and its environmental goals were introduced.

 The seminar was attended by a large number of faculty members, staff, and students, and witnessed significant engagement. The attendees actively participated in discussions and exchanged ideas with the lecturer.
