As part of the social initiatives promoted by the Women's Affairs Department at the Presidency of Anbar University, the Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology visited the Noor Institute for the Blind in Anbar Province on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. The visit was led by the unit's officer, Dr. Makarem Abdulwahid Al-Turki, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dania Abdulqahar Shaker. The visit included touring the classrooms, discussing the hopes and dreams of the blind students, and listening to their talents such as reciting songs and memorizing Quranic verses. We sought to nurture their aspirations by talking about the university and some of its faculties such as Computer Science and Islamic Studies, where one student dreamed of becoming an Imam.

At the end of the visit, gifts were presented, including items for general use such as electronic prayer rugs for learning how to pray, rugs for teaching navigation and street crossing, and traffic signs. Personal gifts were also given to the female and male students. The meeting concluded with the statement, "We will repeat this meeting with you, heroes, and accompany you to the university stage
