 Assistant Professor Dr. Israa Adnan Abdel-Jalil, head of the Women’s Affairs Division at Anbar University, participated in the dialogue session that was chaired by the Prime Minister, Mr. Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, and which was held on the occasion of International Women’s Day, which falls tomorrow, March 8. His Excellency extended his congratulations to the Iraqi woman on the celebration of her anniversary, and welcomed the attendees at this meeting, stressing the keenness of the Supreme Council for Women to maintain dialogue with feminist elites, as part of the government’s approach to paying attention to the reality of Iraqi women.

His Excellency indicated that the formation of the government includes three female ministers, in addition to the presence of women executive leaders with a high degree of integrity and diligence. He also referred to the women figures who have achieved brilliant successes in various fields, and made clear that women were present in most aspects of the government programme, referring to the Supreme Council. In his answer about the laws supporting women, Mr. Al-Sudani referred to the constitutional texts concerned with women’s rights, the legislative decisions before 2003, which are still in effect, and international agreements that need laws to regulate them. This is a package of laws about which the Supreme Judicial Council was addressed, and the Supreme Council for Women’s Affairs Women will adopt a special workshop on legislation related to women’s rights and the advancement of their status.

At the conclusion of his speech, the Prime Minister announced the government's readiness to support any feminist event or activity Arab or international, held in Iraq, which contributes to informing the world about our growing reality, away from the misleading operations that harm the image of Iraq.

Anbar University Participates in the Iraqi Police Celebrations on the Occasion of its 103rd Founding Anniversary. In a move that reflects the spirit of cooperation and solidarity between educational and security institutions in Anbar Governorate, the College of Science, represented by the Women's Affairs Unit and college students, participated in the celebration of the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Police. This participation came to confirm the important role played by the security forces in maintaining security and stability in the country, as students presented flowers to the Iraqi police in appreciation and appreciation for their great role in protecting the homeland and the citizen. During the celebration, brochures were distributed about the Iraqi police and the history of its establishment, in order to enhance awareness among students about the importance of this security apparatus in the history of Iraq.
