Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, and in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit in the college, on the occasion of International Women’s Day under the slogan (Women and Building Economic Development in Iraq), the electronic carnival (Hope and Solidarity “Women of Gaza in Qalwaina”) was held on the evening of Thursday, 7/ 3/2024 At nine o’clock in the evening, a number of important figures from outside Iraq participated in this carnival, including Dr. Sabah Al-Mikhlafi from Yemen and Dr. Iman Al-Badawi from Tunisia. The opening speech of the festival was given by Dr. Nasra Ahmid Jadoua, Dean of the College of Education for Girls at Anbar University, A student from the College of Administration and Economics also participated in the carnival by presenting her research paper (Measuring and analyzing awareness of entrepreneurship and investment among women in Iraq). The carnival included several sections, dealing with Arab women in general and Palestine in particular. Videos showing the white wall (Leave a prayer for Gaza) were shown in the carnival. The Deanship of the College of Computer, its professors and students participated in it. It is worth noting that this carnival was prepared and managed by Dr. Makarem Abdel Wahed Al Turki, head of the women’s empowerment unit at the college.
