Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Walid Nassar Jaffal, Dean of Anbar College of Medicine, the Women's Affairs Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, co-co-operated with the Family and Community Medicine Branch in the college visited a number of secondary schools in the city of Ramadi (for boys and girls), in which the lecturers' team (M. Dr. Roya Abdulhadi is solely responsible for women's affairs in the Faculty of Medicine with M. Dr. Badia Thamer Yahya A. M. Dr. Ahmed Khalaf Al-Sufi from the Family and Community Medicine Branch) is a lecture for male and female students on the harms of smoking (scars, cars and electronic cigarettes) and its effects on the health of young people and society in general.

 

The visit was welcomed by the administration of the two schools because of the impact of these topics on the health of our students and their level of thinking and academic performance.

 

The unit distributed guidance posters and awareness brochures that include the negative effects of smoking, drugs and a number of other non-health practises that affect the health of adolescents and young people.
