The College Women Empowerment Unit held a scientific symposium entitled (Violence against Women and its Psychosocial Effects on Society) on Monday, 11/12/2023, at eleven o'clock in the morning and on the Abbie Al Barakat Al-Anbari Hall of the College, where he attended: Prof. Dr. (H.E. Hamdy Sweidan) is responsible for the Women Empowerment Unit of the College and M.M. (Noor Raji Muhammad).

The symposium addressed the concept of violence against women, the causes of violence against women, the types of violence against women and violence against Palestinian women.

The aim of the symposium was to raise awareness among the younger generation represented by university students; to reduce violence against women; to educate women about their human rights; and to reject their exposure to violence.

Anbar University Participates in the Iraqi Police Celebrations on the Occasion of its 103rd Founding Anniversary. In a move that reflects the spirit of cooperation and solidarity between educational and security institutions in Anbar Governorate, the College of Science, represented by the Women's Affairs Unit and college students, participated in the celebration of the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Iraqi Police. This participation came to confirm the important role played by the security forces in maintaining security and stability in the country, as students presented flowers to the Iraqi police in appreciation and appreciation for their great role in protecting the homeland and the citizen. During the celebration, brochures were distributed about the Iraqi police and the history of its establishment, in order to enhance awareness among students about the importance of this security apparatus in the history of Iraq. For his part, the Dean of the College of Science sent a message of thanks and appreciation to the members of the Iraqi police, praising their heroic role in maintaining the security of the homeland, stressing the importance of cooperation between educational and security institutions in building a safe and prosperous society.
