Women's Role in Reducing Pollution and Its Impact on Climate Change

University of Anbar Organizes an Awareness Workshop on Women's Role in Confronting Climate Change

The Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Science at  University of Anbar organized a scientific workshop entitled "Women's Role in Reducing Pollution and Its Impact on Climate Change."
The workshop focused on the close relationship between environmental pollution and climate change, emphasizing that women, with their multiple roles in the family and society, are pivotal partners in achieving environmental sustainability. This is achieved by adopting conscious practices in daily life, participating in spreading environmental awareness, and leading relevant community initiatives.
The workshop featured practical examples of women's contributions to environmental protection at the domestic, educational, and societal levels, such as waste sorting at home, rationalizing consumption, and promoting a culture of afforestation and green projects.
This workshop is part of the implementation of the Third National Plan for Women, Peace, and Security, specifically under the Protection and Prevention Pillar – Paragraph 8
