The Women's Affairs Unit at the Faculty of Medicine at Anbar University organised an awareness workshop entitled: "Human Rights and the Difference in Rights between the Sexes".

The workshop discussed ways to empower women legally and socially to ensure their full participation in public life, and the importance of developing local legislation to keep pace with societal changes and the aspirations of social justice.

The workshop aimed to raise the level of legal awareness among university members and students, and promote a culture of equality and non-discrimination on the basis of gender, in line with the principles of justice and human rights.

This workshop comes within the framework of the implementation of the Third National Plan for Women, Security and Peace, specifically the pillar of protection and prevention - paragraph seven
